This is a memorable story that had me reflecting on the purpose of our human lives. . . . Love and Mercy is not an obviously spiritual book but one that made me think about my own spirituality, my soul's purpose and how good can come out of the bleakest circumstances. It is a wholesome plot with no profanity, violence or sex and if you enjoy family and relationship stories with depth, it's a must read.

About the Book:

Suddenly angelic beings of light appeared. They said I was at a crossroad, and it was here where I had to make a choice.

In 2022 forty-two-year-old Dr. Stormy Hera, a music professor at the University of Victoria, is serving a manslaughter sentence at Sunnydale Forensic Hospital in British Columbia. Although she can’t recall committing the crime, she feels strongly that she did the right thing.

In the hopes of jogging her memory and healing her soul, Stormy is tasked with writing her autobiography as part of her rehabilitation. Spanning the 1940s to 2026, and set in the Saskatchewan prairies, Olympia, Greece, and Canada’s West Coast, For Love and Mercy follows the lives of free-spirited Evangeline, and Stormy herself—including a near-death experience that changes everything.

For Love and Mercy is a heartfelt story of love and loss, courage and forgiveness.

About the Book

Hailey picks dandelions wherever she goes. As she grows older, her mother and nana teach her how to make yummy food with the flowers and leaves, her grandpa teaches her to make medicinal tea with the roots, and at summer camp, she even uses dandelions to make beautiful artwork. As Hailey ages, she teaches her own children and grandchildren about the many uses of dandelions she so dearly loves. Uh-oh . . . Little Sophie, her granddaughter, thinks they are weeds and should be killed! Can Hailey show her just why she loves dandelions so much?

Hailey Loves Dandelions is a heartwarming story about family bonds and how one woman’s love of dandelions is passed down through the generations. Included in the back is a tasty fun recipe for dandelion and lemon muffins. This is the first book in the Love the Earth series by Ingrid Deringer. Ingrid creates books for her grandchildren that focus on family bonds and the importance of taking care of the earth. She is currently working on the second book in the series, called Where is Away.

“Inspired by her granddaughter, Hailey, C. Ingrid Deringer introduces the Love the Earth series with Hailey Loves Dandelions to spread the love for our natural world to children.

The white pages splashed with colorful, flowery pictures in Hailey Loves Dandelions are eye-catching and informative.

Before reading the book, I didn't know dandelions had so many uses, and now I can't wait to explore some of its uses myself. Hailey Loves Dandelions is recommended to parents and schools who want their children and pupils to learn the value of plants and to develop curiosity for Earth's natural blessings.

About the Book

Sometimes dreams do come true—but not in the way we expect.

Spanning three generations and nearly one hundred years, this is a heart-wrenching story about love, loss, family—both blood and the people you choose, spiritual connection, and a dream coming true in an unexpected way.

In 1925, Margaret, born with a gift for music, is growing up in an abusive and unloving home, caring for her younger siblings and working hard on their dairy farm in Nova Scotia. She aspires to be a successful singer/songwriter but as life moves along and she settles in Alberta, it becomes less and less likely that she will ever achieve her dream.

In 2015, as Sarah is going through her parents’ belongings after their unexpected deaths, she stumbles across a box of transcripts of stories she told them when she was a child. The tales take on a more personal meaning when she falls in love with Alex, and as she spends time with his family, begins to feel a spiritual bond to Margaret. How are these two women connected?

If I Could Live Again will touch your heart and inspire you to never let go of your dreams.

5 STARS! Red Headed Book Lover

If I Could Live Again is an incredible novel that is guaranteed to move and inspire its readers from the very beginning to the very end...

It is rare to find a novel that combines the themes this book does, and that is refreshing to me, and it is even more challenging to discover a story that does not rely on cliches!

About the Book

Grandma Ging Ging and her Grandson Rio have wonderful visits filled with activities and fun. At the end of each visit, Ging Ging asks Rio if he wants to dance. She teaches him different dances over the years. When Ging Ging gets too old to dance, Rio refuses to accept it.

Shall We Dance is a heartwarming story about the enduring love between a grandmother and her grandson that spans a generation. The story is sure to bring laughter and tears to both children and adults and will be a book that is read over and over again.

5 STARS!  Readers’ Favorite

"There is a special bond that a child shares with a grandmother, a bond of unconditional love and joy, laughter and tears, and dancing, singing, and playing together. Ingrid Deringer brings it all together so eloquently in her touching picture book story, Shall We Dance? More compassionate and emotional than Robert Munsch’s Love You Forever ... Absolutely beautiful. Loved it.
